The International Conference on Resources and Environment Sciences (ICRES) was inaugurated in 2019 on Jeju Island, South Korea, and has since grown into a respected annual forum for sustainability research. Due to the pandemic, the conference operated virtually from 2020 to 2022, resumed as a hybrid event in 2023, and returned to fully in-person sessions in Bangkok for ICRES 2024 to 2026. The conference serves as a technical congregation where the latest theoretical and technological advances in resources and environmental sciences are presented and discussed. It aims to trigger further research and practical innovations addressing global challenges such as climate change and resource depletion. The publications from ICRES are expected to stimulate continued improvements in this vital field.
